Food Drive
From March 1-22, 2013 the LV Leadership Students are holding a food drive to benefit the Lakeside Christian Help Center. Donated items need to be NON-PERISHABLE! Items requested include (but are not limited to) canned meat such as tuna or ham, peanut butter, soup, dried pasta, powdered milk and dried beans.
The leadership students are requesting that each class come up with a decorated box or other creative way to store the items. The box needs to be clearly labeled with the teacher's name and room number. At the end of the drive Mrs. Reidy and Mrs. Thomas Carter will collect the boxes and tally up the number of items each class has donated. The class with the most items will be awarded an EXTRA recess as a thank you for their efforts.

St. Patrick's Day Writing
Today we started our St. Patrick's Day writing. We will be working on it for two weeks. Please reinforce these words and pictures at home with your child when working on writing.

Information Needed
I have the TK Spanish Rollover papers that need to be filled out by the parents that are trying to send their students into the Spanish Immersion class; these parents must attend one of the informational meetings.
The second paper I need filled out is for ALL students in my TK class. It is an agreement for the pupil to continue in Kindergarten. I have that as well. I will be having the parents fill that out when they come to pick up their student from the class. If you do not pick up your student from class I will send one home Wednesday in their homework folder.
Absences
When your child is absent please call or email the office and let them know why. The email is bwoodill@lsusd.net or call 619-390-2652. When absences are not cleared I have to track you down and get them cleared. Please remember that this is school policy.
