Tomorrow
Thank you again for chaperoning the Kindergarten field trip to Sea World. We want to make sure that everyone has everything for the trip tomorrow.
The busses will leave tomorrow morning at 9:00 am and should arrive at Sea World between 9:30-10:00 am. You can follow the bus from school or you can meet us at the educational gate. We suggest meeting at school so you can grab your groups sack lunch and place it in your backpack before you get there. Once we get there we will be going to the Sea Lion/Otter show. At the show you may sign your child out from school. Your teacher will have this paper and will pass it around. You were given a placard for your car that allows you to park for free over by the education gate. If your child/or group is riding on the bus coming back to school you will need to meet us at the educational gate at exactly 1:00pm. The only reason you should not be at the gate is because you have already signed your child out with your teacher. Please make sure to wear sunscreen, hat, tennis shoes, and sunglasses. Please also bring pens to write on the Scavenger Hunt papers.
This is the information I have for tomorrow. Let me know if there are any changes ASAP.

This is great!
The kids and I have been playing with this for a week and they are in love! They know how to work it. Give them a chance to show you.

Yogurt Barn Fundraiser
Yogurt Barn will be doing a fundraiser for Run for the Arts (Sat. April 27) on Thursday April 25, 2013 from 7-8. I will be scooping from 730-8pm. I did it last year and it was mayhem and I loved every second of it. The kids love seeing their teachers behind the counter and the staff at yogurt Barn love seeing us try to do their job. Last year we raiser $500, the goal this year is $600 for Run for the Arts.
Run for the Arts is a 2 mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday April 27 @ Lindo Park @ 9am. All the proceeds go straight back to the arts in the schools. The event is sponsored by the Lakeside PTA Council. There will be raffle prizes, food, entertainment, and art activities. Registration begins at 8am. I will be at this event as well.

Spell-A-Thon
A message from LAKEVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Wednesday the Spell-a-thon packets went home with your child. Please help them study and collect pledges over the next 2 weeks.
On April 26th the kids will take their spelling or sight words test in class to determine the number of correct words they will be able to collect for.
The Pledge sheets are due on or before April 26th. Please send them in on time so the pledge amounts can be calculated and the pledge sheet can be sent back home for collection.
Thank you for your participation!
